C1 has launched C1 Autonomous Worker (C1AW), an AI agent built to do enterprise identity work rather than just advise on it. Tell it to revoke every stale admin grant in Snowflake or assemble audit evidence for who reached production last quarter, and it reasons over the data, acts, and drops the finished artifact back in the thread.

The design choice that matters is the guardrail. Every action C1AW takes runs through the same policy engine that governs human users, so it can only do what its operator is already permitted to do, and every step lands in the audit trail as a reviewable access event. CEO Alex Bovee frames it as the start of something bigger: "We're building toward a world where autonomous workers run inside every enterprise, and C1 is the identity control plane that governs all of them."

It is a concrete answer to the question dogging agentic deployments: not what an agent can do, but what it should be allowed to do, and who can prove it afterwards.
