AWS has added xAI's Grok 4.3 to Amazon Bedrock, the first time xAI has offered a model directly through Amazon's managed catalogue, alongside Anthropic, OpenAI and Meta. The pricing is aggressive: US$1.25 per million input tokens and a one-million-token context window, putting it among the cheaper frontier reasoning models on the platform.
The catch is demand. The Register reported AWS pursued the integration despite little enterprise appetite, with buyers wary of xAI's governance and content-safety record. Cheap tokens do not fix a trust problem.
So Bedrock gets a price-competitive option and a fuller shelf, and xAI gets distribution it has struggled to win on its own. Whether enterprises that have standardised on Claude or Gemini actually switch for a lower per-token rate is the open question the launch does not answer.
